This class offers instruction in Traditional Red Boat Wing Chun Kung Fu, a highly effective close quarter combat system of self-defense. Students will learn a comprehensive set of techniques, including striking, submissions, throws, and armed/unarmed weapon training. The focus is on utilizing an opponent’s force and strength to gain an advantage and turn it against them. The class is suitable for ages 14 and up and is a great way to get in shape while learning a time-proven method of martial arts. (PLEASE NOTE: There must be a minimum of 2 participants in attendance for a class to occur and it is the responsibility of the student to ensure they have a training partner on hand. If a partner that has booked in cancels short notice the training session may be completed at a discounted private instruction rate. Being a small country school attendance will vary according to holidays, time of the year, and sometimes even time/day of the week. If the plan is to attend in the evening usually numbers will be sufficient to proceed with scheduled classes however to save people travelling in from longer distances and then having no one to train with and that are then not willing, or able to pay for private tuition we started the current process. Sorry but the casual rate for a 1 hour class is $15 and usually upwards of $75 p/hr. for private instruction.
